Tamiya 1/700 Navy Destroyer USS Hammann (DD-412). This scale model depicts the Sims Class Destroyer USS Hammann that was commissioned in 1939. This ship is widely known for events that happened during the Battle of Midway. Having rescued the crew of the badly-damaged USS Yorktown aircraft carrier, it remained alongside to assist with repairs when the ships were attacked by a Japanese I-168 submarine, the Hammann eventually taking a torpedo and sinking. Tamiya has faithfully recreated this model down to 1/700 scale. Package includes one model boat.
NOTE: Photo of completed model is for illustrative purposes only. This is a model kit that requires assembly. Hobby tools, adhesive and paint will be needed to complete the model.
